Answers to some common questions

At Ubud Story Walks, the health and safety of our guests and guides is our top priority. In accordance with local government regulations, all our guests and employees are required to have at least one vaccination while on our tours.

If a tour booking is cancelled 72 hours before the tour date, 20% will be deducted from the refund. Booking cancellations will not be refunded less than 72 hours before the tour date. In the event of inclement weather (ex. rainstorm), we will try our best to reschedule your tour for another day if possible. If not, we will refund your full booking.

We understand that in these uncertain times travel plans change unexpectedly. You may reschedule your booking up to 48 hours before the tour date. We will try our best to accommodate your schedule.

Our tours start at 8:30am with the possibility of bad weather in mind. In Ubud, it typically rains in the afternoon from November through April. We recommend tour guests wear a sturdy pair of waterproof shoes and carry an umbrella. The tour will only be cancelled if the conditions are very bad (ex: torrential downpour).

Our guides will wait 10 minutes for guests that are running late. After that, we have to start the tour. If you are running more than 10 minutes late, please call us and we will provide directions to the group’s location.

On our tours, we limit the group size to 8 guests + 1 guide to encourage interaction and decrease our environmental impact. We can also arrange private tours for larger groups. Please send us an email for more information.

We love kids! However, our tours are not tailored to their needs or attention span. We recommend our tours for teenagers 14+.

Transportation to the tour starting point, and from the last tour spot is not included. Any food, drinks, or purchases outside of what we provide are not included either.

We make every effort to ensure our tours are accessible as possible for all our guests. However, due to the historic nature of Ubud, our tours vary in accessibility. In some areas, there are uneven temple stairs, steep gradients and patchy sidewalks. Guests are advised to be physically capable of climbing steps and prepared to walk around an urban environment for up to 3 hours.
